Cookie Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This page lists everything wdmmg.app stores in your browser, and why. The short version: we do not set cookies for visitors, and we use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. We count visits with a cookieless tool that stores nothing on your device (see “Other companies”). That is why you do not see a cookie banner.
What we store on your device
- wdmmg-vibe (local storage): the tone you picked (Polite, Brutal Roast or Money Therapist). Kept until you clear it.
- wdmmg-lang (local storage): the language you picked. Kept until you clear it.
- wdmmg-checkups (local storage): monthly check-up summaries, only if you choose to save one. They hold spending per month, category totals, top places and your score, and the last 12 are kept. Remove them with “Forget all saved check-ups” in a report.
- wdmmg-last-report (local storage): the link to your most recent report and when it is deleted, so the homepage can offer a way back to it. It holds only the report number, never the report. It removes itself when the report is deleted (after 48 hours), and you can remove it sooner with the × on that bar.
- wdmmg-pass (local storage): your Premium or Max pass after you buy one, so your next upload opens fully unlocked. It is used up by that report, and expires after 30 days if unused.
- wdmmg_src (session storage): where you came from, if you arrived through one of our own links (for example a Reddit or Instagram post), so we can count which of our posts bring visitors. It holds a short label such as “reddit”, nothing about you, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
- wdmmg_report: followed by a report number (session storage): a copy of a report you opened, so it loads quickly. Your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
- Owner-only cookies (wdmmg_admin, wdmmg_desk, wdmmg_stats): set only when the site’s owner signs in to the private owner pages, to keep that sign-in secure. Visitors never receive them.
These items stay on your device and are not sent to us on their own. When you make a report, the tone and language you chose are sent with it, so the report can be written that way.
Under EU and UK rules, storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, or that remembers a choice you made, does not need consent. Everything above falls into those groups.
Other companies
- Bot protection (Vercel): when you upload a statement, a small script checks technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated abuse. It is used only for security.
- Visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics): counts page visits without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It records the page you visited (with report links blanked out), the site you came from, your country, and your device type and browser. Visits are told apart for one day only, using a code made from technical details that is then discarded, so you cannot be followed from day to day or across other sites. We use it to see which pages and links bring visitors.
- Payments (Razorpay, PayPal and Stripe): if you pay, the payment page or window is provided by the company you choose and may use its own cookies for security and fraud prevention, under its own policy.
- Links to other sites: sites we link to, such as AI services, banks and the sources in our blog, set their own cookies when you visit them. Their policies apply there.
Your choices
You can delete everything above at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for wdmmg.app. The site still works afterwards; it simply forgets your tone and language.
Changes
If we ever add anything that stores information on your device and is not strictly necessary, such as advertising pixels, we will ask for your consent first and update this page. Questions? Use the contact form. More about your data is in our Privacy Policy.
